About The Inn
Welcome to the historic Doctor’s Inn of Galax, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004 and opened as the Boxwood Inn Bed and Breakfast by Sarah Price. In 2006 the Stamey’s purchased the Inn and renamed it The Doctor’s Inn. It was Brenda’s passion and she ran it until her untimely death in 2010. Margot Crouse continued to run the Inn in Brenda’s absence until Ron Stamey’s untimely death. We re-opened in the Fall of 2022 under new ownership after two years hiatus. Situated in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the quaint little City of Galax just a delightful and relaxing 15-mile drive from I-77. The Inn offers stately accommodations with elegant bedrooms, period bathrooms, lavish amenities along with a sumptuous breakfast menu sure to delight.
